I’ve just organized all our crap! Made a little collections room in the upstairs gallery area and have been selling all the extras. (This was long overdue – just as an example, when I combined what was in the household inventory with what Dia and Coop were holding, we had 53 space paintings.) D:
Also knocked out some walls and rearranged furniture a bit. Since most of the additions to the house have just been slapping on another smallish square room, it was getting pretty ugly in here – bad traffic flow and hard to take pics without walls getting in the way.
I still need to do something about the side bedrooms and the colors in the kitchen/living areas, but I need a breather first, lol. I promise more house updates soon.
Bills were down about 2500 simoleons with just the wall removals – hoping for a decent reduction in the next one now that all the extra junk is finally sold off.
Clem is still hanging on, twinkly age bar and all. He seems to only get repeat space missions now, so we might not finish the alien space collection with him after all. (Maybe it’s tied to skill? He’s been maxed for ages.) Since he’s mastered cooking, he makes all our meals for us now. He’s pretty wild in the kitchen!
In the house, he spends a lot of time chatting with Coop. For some reason they’re always talking about woohoo or rockets – I imagine he’s imparting some awkward relationship advice to her, or just rambling about his glory days to someone he considers an equal. Who knows? Coop has been surprisingly tolerant, either way. ;D
In the garden, Clem’s frankenplant is getting even bigger.
I noticed too that our grape plants have been producing grapes that are extremely valuable lately. 111 simoleons per piece here.. 542 simoleons per piece there.. Is that normal? Lol.
Little Edelweiss has been a very needy baby the whole way. Easter has never resented her, but sharing a room with little sis has definitely been a challenge.
Easter was just 4 motor skill points away from meeting her Rambunctious Scamp aspiration, but the baby had been keeping her up all night, leaving her almost too tired to make it to school. If we could just get her some sleep, I’m confident that she’d be able to complete it in time. Luckily, the weekend was coming up so she would at least have a break from school. 🙂
The big event for Saturday was the celebration of an important family birthday. Dianthus was becoming an “adult,” and we were trying to get him to stop writing long enough to attend his own party.
Part of me is freaking out because it feels like it’s too soon (!!), but Dia has already accomplished a lot compared to his predecessors at his age. He has a family he adores, a career he enjoys – yup, things are looking pretty great for Dia, so I guess I need to just celebrate that and quit my lamenting already.
With the party already underway, we discovered that Edelweiss was ready to age up too. Thank goodness!
So much personality already! ;D Ede aged up with a completely red hunger bar, despite having been fed recently, and was frowning and scowling around. She went immediately for the cake.
.. Which she took right outside so she could be away from everyone. Way too many strange people in the house. Ede rolled the Loner trait like her father, you see. ;D
Alas, her sweet solitude was short-lived, as she was soon joined by her cousin Adalynn (Digit & Bailey’s daughter) who had just recently become a child herself and was being a bit of a butthead. Then papa Dia and grandpa Clem joined her as well.
After they all had bellies full of cake, the group made it upstairs to join Easter on the dance floor. Now this part was pretty fun, even Ede was okay with it. She’ll need to dance for her Scamp aspiration, so I’m happy about that! ;D
(I’ve got flirty paintings right by the stereo now so all the adults will do their sexy dance – it is so freakin’ funny to see, especially for sims who are normally shy or take themselves too seriously.)
OMG! Dia’s Flirty Dance-butt!!
The dancing went on well into the night, and a good time was had by all, even our two dear Loners. 🙂 Happy birthday, Dianthus and Edelweiss!
